Individual
skits from Disorderly
Conduct are now available as a
podcast, and it couldn't possibly
be any gosh darn easier for you folks
to get them. If you already know what
you're doing, click here for the DC
itunes page (This will
launch itunes). If you need some 'splainin,
read on.

Now
if you're new to podcasting...
What
is podcasting?
"The
word 'podcast' is a concatenation of
the words iPod and broadcast. The underlying
technology used for podcasts, called
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is capable
of containing any type of media including
audio, video, graphics, and more."
The short version: it's a form of broadcasting
audio or video through a feed, and it
happens to be both itunes and ipod compatible.
More on podcasts here.
What
is the Disorderly Conduct podcast?
The Disorderly
Conduct video podcast is awesome. Bascially,
I'll put a new skit or two up every
so often, and it becomes available through
my feed (and appears on the itunes page).
You can do either one of two things:
you can manually click which skits you
want, or you can subscribe. If you subscribe
through itunes, then every time a new
skit goes up, your itunes will automatically
download it and have it ready for you
to watch. This is a really cool feature
that I suggest you take advantage of.
And it's all free, superfan!
Do
I need itunes to enjoy your podcast?
Nope. You can also download the skits
manually from this blogger
site.
Do
I need a video ipod?
Nope.
You can watch the videos on your computer.
They all play easily in itunes, or you
can use quicktime. They come in .m4v
format.
Why
should I subscribe when I can download
from your site or youtube?
The site
features complete episodes of Disorderly
Conduct. Youtube and the podcasts feature
individual skits. The podcast lets you
have the skits in your media library.
And also, brand new skits will
appear in the podcast from time to time,
and you won't want to miss those.
How
do I subscribe through itunes?
Go to
the Disorderly Conduct itunes page and
hit "subscribe." Easy as that.
Or, if you want individual episodes,
find the skit you want and click the
"get episode" button.
How
do I find the Disorderly Conduct page
on itunes?
Here's
a link that will automatically open
your itunes application and point you
to the page. Or you can open itunes
yourself and do a search for keywords
such as "Disorderly Conduct."
Or find us in the comedy section.
That's
it?
Yup.
Once you subscribe (or download individual
episodes), your itunes will look like
this:

Your
skits will then be on your computer
and ready to play. On itunes, they'll
be under "podcasts." When
a blue orb is next to a title, it simply
means you haven't watched it yet.
How
do I get this goodness onto my ipod?
Your
ipod will most likely automatically
sync with your computer podcasts. If
not, just click and drag.
And
I'd like to thank you all for your interest
in this podcast, and I certainly hope
you all enjoy it. As always, I'd love
a little feedback on the message
board. And a very big fat special
thanks to Will at RadioAskew
for helping me make this happen.
